Before getting into the fast and furious about the 2023 Newmarket International festival of One Act Plays, let me share with you the link to tickets, as that seems to be the number one question I get asked, which is of course the Town of newmarket theatre ticks hub of newtix.ca
How much is entry?
Ticket Prices – $25 – $22.50 if purchased before Aug 25 – Seniors and Students – $20 – $17.50 before Aug 25
Festival Passes for All Show All 4 Days – $50 !!! A steal!
Bundle of 10 same show tickets – $150 – at box office only
What do we get?
Well, opening night you gain entrance to not only 3 great plays, but to the opening night party as well, including complimentary finger foods ( Millions Mouthfuls) live entertainment and a cash bar. There is a short intermission between plays at which time you can feel free to purchase alcoholic beverages or snacks supplied by Old Flame Brewer Co..All other shows have 2 plays except the Sunday matinee which is our. Younger audiences productions – written, acted and directed by the V.U.T.C. Young Company as developed through our workshops!

What can you tell me about the productions?
Each show consists of at least one world premiere and have been selected from 212 entries the festival organizers received in submissions for the festival. You can find show descriptions here. These are chosen some of the world’s best one act plays and we hope we picked a few you like as well!
Any special causes?
This year we are donating proceeds from the matinee show, Stray Cats, and also the Actress to the Inn From The Cold shelter.Stray Cats is about two homeless indigenous friends finding their way while living on the streets so we thought is a very fitting cause. You can purchase tickets to that show right here.
