Our Festival

Since 2017, The Newmarket International Festival of One Act Plays has been providing audiences with innovative live theatre while fostering opportunities for playwrights,actors, directors and stagehands to practice their crafts.

Held in historic downtown Newmarket at the renovated Old Town Hall, The NIFOAPs has grown exponentially since inception and now entertains hundreds of theatre goers over 4 days of live one act plays. The festival has added features such as an opening night red carpet party, dinner and a show ticket options, historic tours, live play readings, an accredited adjudicator, and professional workshops to really enhance the theatre experience.

The NIFOAP’s is produced by The Very Useful Theatre Company with the assistance of sponsors. This amazing festival would not be possible without them.

With a lot of thought and consideration we’ve decided to say farewell to our dine-in services. However, fear not, for our ovens are still fired up, our kitchen is bustling, and our commitment to your satisfaction remains unwavering.
