Jason Silzer is an accomplished director with a diverse range of theatrical experience, having helmed numerous productions across various genres. His extensive directorial credits include recent productions such as A Wrinkle in Time (May 2025), 7 Stories (March 2025), and Alice in Wonderland (December 2024), all for Marquee Productions. He has also directed popular musicals like Disney’s The Little Mermaid (May 2024) and The Fantasticks (May 2022, Scarborough Music Theatre).
Silzer’s work extends to classic plays, including a 2024 production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest (July 2018). He has a strong background in both drama and comedy, evident in his direction of plays such as A Christmas Carol (December 2023), The One-Act Play that Goes Wrong (May 2023), and Clue On Stage (January 2023).
His expertise is further solidified by formal training:

Both through Theatre Ontario in 2018.
Also, Directing with Richard Rose at the Tarragon Centre for Theatre Creation in 2016.
His talent has been recognized with awards and nominations, including a Thea for Best Director of a Drama for Down Dangerous Passes Road and nominations for best director for Almost, Maine and Monty Python’s Spamalot.
